Our Future Plans

The trustees have now changed the name of the museum to THE STAITHES STORY because we suggest that it reflects better the type of attraction which we are now offering. We have also smartened up the exterior and have put new signs outside and have made the interior layout of the collection more visually attractive and interesting. We have also included two new artisan crafts shops on the ground floor, as well as our own museum shop.

OBJECTIVES

• To raise funds to save the collection and to create a visitor attraction within which to preserve and display the collection for the benefit of our community and visitors

• To maintain an income stream to pay for our running costs

• To continue to catalogue, conserve and display the collections

• To provide attractive, well-researched and interesting interpretation of the collections

• To secure the collection for future generations.

Please help to ensure that our special museum can survive and thrive, and to make sure that we are on a sound financial footing so that we can safeguard this classical fantastic local heritage centre for years to come.
